Obsidian Leadership Development Centre is a social purpose non-profit on a mission to empower Black and racialized leaders across Canada. We are building a bilingual digital learning and support platform designed to help professionals take charge of their careers, navigate workplace challenges, and shape a more inclusive and equitable future - for themselves, their organizations, and their communities.
Founded by award-winning leadership coach and facilitator Dominique Dennery, Obsidian emerged from decades of frontline experience in the public and private sectors, where the gaps in support for racialized professionals were impossible to ignore. Too often, these professionals are highly skilled and deeply motivated, yet isolated in systems that were not built with them in mind. Obsidian exists to change that.
We are more than a platform - we are a movement. Obsidian is creating a vibrant, peer-supported learning community where emerging and established leaders alike can build confidence, resilience, and strategic know-how. Together, we are rewriting the rules of leadership, rooting them in equity, cultural wisdom, and collective strength.
